Minimum of two $1000 scholarships are available to graduating seniors who are residents of Lake Forest, Lake Bluff or Knollwood and who clearly demonstrate a passion for reading. Application includes an essay and recommendation from an adult. Deadline is March 17, 2008. 

In 2003, Friends of Lake Forest Library inaugurated the senior scholarship program to recognize students in whose lives reading plays an integral and enriching role.
Funds for these awards come from the proceeds of the annual Book Sale held in West Park every September.
